“Changing the Face of Poverty” is an article written by Diana George that examines how poverty is represented by nonprofit organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity hose aim is to help people in poverty.

George argues that such organizations perpetuate a misleading image of what poverty looks like. By using black and white dismal images of thin children wearing torn and ragged children, showing dilapidated buildings, nonprofit organizations create stereotypes which ay not accurately depict the reality of poverty in America today.
